About the Oenologist Prof. Matteo Marangon

After obtaining a PhD in Oenology from the University of Padova (Italy), Matteo Marangon joined the Australian Wine Research Institute (South Australia) to work as a Researcher. In 2014 Matteo joined Plumpton College (UK) to lead a Master of Science in Viticulture & Oenology before returning to the University of Padova in 2016. Matteo is currently an Associate Professor and the President of the MSc in “Italian Food and Wine”, and his research is mostly focused on the study of wine colloidal instabilities and on strategies to prevent them, on the valorization of winemaking by-products, on the characterisation of Italian white and red wine varieties.
